Welcome to Agape Christian Church

Where else is the best place to be, but in the community of fellow believers sharing their lives together according to the Word of God.

We are fearfully and wonderfully created by God to worship Him. We are one body in Christ. We were made to function as one. Romans 12:4-5 says that:

"For as in one body we have many members,
and the members do not all have the same function,
so we, though many, are one body in Christ,
and individually members one of another.”

We are not perfect, only God is.  We are wounded, scarred and broken people but the abounding grace of our Lord Jesus has been poured out to heal us and to make us new. As we grow together in love, we edify one another.  We encourage one another.  We forgive one another.  We serve one another.

2026 Theme:  COURAGE

"No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life; as I was with Moses, so I will be with you.

I will not leave you nor forsake you.  Be strong and of good courage, for to this people you shall divide as an inheritance the land which I swore to their fathers to give them.  Only be strong and very courageous, that you may observe to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go. This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it.  For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. Have I not commanded you?  Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.” – Joshua 1:5-9

WHAT WE BELIEVE

OUR STATEMENT OF FAITH

We believe in the Bible as God’s inspired Word. It gives instructions

and guidance on how to walk in this life’s journey.
(2 Timothy 3: 16 – 17)

We believe in the existence of an eternal God. There is One God,

eternally existing and manifesting Himself to us in Three Persons –

God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. He is the Creator

and Source of all things, both in heaven and on earth.
(Colossians 1: 15-17, Matthew 3: 13-17, Matthew 28: 19, 2 Corinthians 13: 14,

Genesis 1: 26, John 1: 1-3)

We believe that sin came to man. It defiled God’s purpose for humanity

and that there is a need of a Savior in order to reconcile man to the Holy God.

(Romans 3:23)

We believe that the only way to be reconciled to the Holy God is through repentance.

It encompasses personal recognition of sin, belief in Jesus dying on the cross

for our sake and submission to His Lordship in our life.

(John 3:16; John 1:12; Luke 5:32; Luke 15:10)

We believe in water baptism by immersion in Jesus Name.

Water baptism was modelled and commanded by the Lord Jesus Christ Himself

to His followers after repentance. It is an essential act of obedience for every follower

of Jesus Christ.

(Matthew 3:16; Romans 6:4; Colossians 2:12)

We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit. To live an empowered life, the Holy Spirit must fill us.

It is He who will give us the authority to use and genuinely release these spiritual gifts to us.

It is for the strengthening of the church as we continue to serve Him and grow daily in His grace.

(1 Corinthians12:1 – 11; Acts 2:1 – 4)

We believe in diversity and unity in the Body of Christ. We understand that it is our responsibility

to connect to one another as a community of believers, wherein we are planted

to prosper and flourish, as we work with one heart for the one Lord.

(Hebrews 10:24 – 25; Acts2: 42 – 47)

Building God's Church God's Way for His Glory

It is Agape Christian Church's earnest desire, prayer and general vision to do and follow God's work His way. Every ministry big or small must be done by faith according to the ways and will of God.  It must be done through the anointing of the Holy Spirit and the power of the written Word.

One scripture that really inspires the church to maintain its unity in the ministry is Acts 2:4, "They joined with other believers and devoted themselves to the apostles teaching and fellowship sharing and in prayer."  It brings us to the way of church life, and it is a continuing function.  We draw life from the Lord Jesus Christ by the power of the Holy Spirit and through the Word of God.

Agape Christian Church started on February 5, 1995.  After 7 years of moving around from place to place, God miraculously provided us a property and church building.  It is situated at 14-16 Great Western Highway, Colyton NSW.  The church stands in a perfect location where the gospel is being seen and heard.  Our sign on the top of the building "JESUS IS THE ANSWER" can be seen by an estimated 90,000 cars which pass by the highway each day.  Truly, people could see and read that Jesus is the only answer to their spiritual needs.

Agape Ministries

Intercessory

"Therefore, confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective." - James 5:16

Prayer is described in the Bible as seeking the favour of God as we bring our concerns and petitions in the Name of Jesus Christ as a mediator through the enabling grace and indwelling of the Holy Spirit.

Life Group

“It is not good for man to be alone.” (Genesis 2:18) is the basis of spiritual community. God Himself is in a community of three persons existing as one.  Even the Lord Jesus formed His very own connect group by gathering the apostles before He started His ministry. God encourages us to be in life groups as it is through life groups that we “know and grow”.  We get to know each other whilst getting to know God deeper and together we grow in faith and maturity.

Worship Ministry

"Shout for joy in the Lord, O you righteous! Praise befits the upright. Give thanks to the Lord with the lyre; make melody to him with the harp of ten strings! Sing to him a new song; play skillfully on the strings, with loud shouts." - Psalm 33:1-3

It is the goal of the worship team to usher the congregation in the presence of God to worship Him, not to entertain. It’s about helping people on their journey to encounter God and magnify His name.

Youth Ministry

"Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity" - 1Timothy 4:12

We believe that the young people are the future of our church, and so we want to help raise them in a way that they are confident about their faith and are eager to spread the Word of God in their day to day lives. We truly believe that the global church is one body and we want to raise our children to embody this verse so that they carry out their purpose in Jesus name. In reference to Echo, our goal is to embody this verse so that our example is a replication of the way that Jesus lived.

Women's Ministry

"Many women have done excellently, but you surpass them all.  Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised"

- Proverbs 31: 29-30

Women's ministry is an intentional ministry which aims to foster engagement with women to build friendship and sisterhood, develop a culture of community outreach, inspire and disciple women into a growing relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ, discover the gifts and talents to be used for God's glory and praise.

Men's Ministry

“How good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell in unity." - Psalm 133:1

The heart of this ministry is to gather, inspire, equip and disciple men so they can take their rightful position and fulfill their God-given destiny.  Just like our Lord Jesus Christ, He hand-picked 12 men and started the very first men's ministry.  He taught, inspired and encouraged them.  He made the Word of God alive in their hearts.  he lived with them, ate with them and travelled with them.  He mentored them.  He prayed with them.  Within the 3 years of Jesus' ministry, they walked through life together.

Children's Ministry

"Train up a child on the way that he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it." - Proverbs 22:6

Serving children is the most rewarding ministries at church.  Knowing that we are helping shape the future of a child is inspiring.  Teaching children is quite exhausting but the fruit of the labor of all the teachers is to see that children learn the ways of the Lord.

Deacon's Ministry

"Whatever you do work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, since you will know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward.  It is the Lord you are serving." - Col 3:23-24

You are called to be faithful not to be appreciated. Serving God is a privilege not a burden.  A deacon is someone who serves and ministers. If God gives you an assignment, consider yourself blessed. You're in His hands to carry out His plans for you. Just trust in Him because the one who calls you is faithful.

Evangelism and Discipleship

"Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen." - Matthew 28:19-20

Our mission is to reach as many as possible with the good news and lead them into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
